The principal town of the canton, Lesneven comprises 15 parishes and has a long coastline, part of the Côte des Légendes, facing the English Channel. It is the administrative capital of the Pays de Léon area. In the town centre there are beautiful 15th, 16th and 17th century houses to admire, former residences of wealthy merchants. Indeed, the market on Monday morning is still one of the busiest in the region.

Visitors can taste local culinary specialities such as Kig-ar-farz (a type of stew), andouille sausage, berlingot caramels, and traditional pastries.

Places of interest include the church of Saint Michel, the square Place Général Le Flo and the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica, as well as the Musée du Léon, a museum exploring the archaeological, ethnographical, artistic and historical riches of the town and the area.

Ideally located, Lesneven is very close to the Abers coast, as well as the beautiful beaches of Kerlouan and Brignogan and also Plouescat, a very attractive and unspoilt coastline.
